Dutch wives V.S. Resin Dolls
I hate to put the title as: SEX DOLLS V.S. RESIN DOLLS
Someone posted this ARTICLE in LJ.
Please read this with an open mind because after all, it’s not entirely accurate, no statistics to support and very urgh, one-sided.
Oh ya, the comments left are interesting.
As I’m explaining, this is just my honest opinion and may, or may not be contradicting, inaccurate and biased.

880 words of my blabbering.
In a nutshell, Orient Industry specializes in creating candy dolls; silicone life-like dolls(and dolls looking like anime characters) which are anatomically correct. Everything can be custom make, from the hair, face features, boobs and etc….
Real dolls are from the USA I think, visited their site once.
Very Very sexy dolls.
Ya, you get what I mean.
They are beautiful and really, I’d want to own one of them.
Renting of the dolls is allowed in Japan as well, I guess for the guys, they really need it.
But what really makes me frustrated is that reporters like comparing BJDs to Candy dolls no matter how great their differences are.
This is definitely not the first…
And neither would it be the last.
They are just mixing facts and making it controversial.
For once, both provide different services and purposes.
Dolls, they are, but while one is commonly known as the sex doll.
The other, however, the owner would always be called a pedo once they collect them.
People might regard them as hobbies.
But deep down, these are not hobbies.
It’s more that that.
To put it really bluntly, dollfies are toys if you wish to call them. There’s no way a negative image should be placed on them.
One’s thing for sure, both provide companionship and security, albeit, for different reasons.
This I’ve to admit, it’s the truth.
Dollfies, on the other hand, are also anatomically correct.
Dollfies or more commonly known as Ball- Jointed Dolls are produced by different companies.
Majority of the dolls are made of as the title suggests; resin.
Volks are the first company to create dollfies and have come a long way to standby their views.
There are different sizes; from tiny dolls measuring less than 15cm to 65cm larger dolls with a more matured look on their faces.
Not going to explain too much as I’m no longer knowledgeable in the world of BJDs. Stopped updating myself for quite a few years. So if there are newer dolls and features, I’ve no idea.
I’m also being partial, ya?
That aside, the part about dollfies baffled me ALOT.
What’s the “dry” and “wet” terms about?
So weird and lame.
If I really have to place myself in either of the category, I guess I fall under the “wet” user.
Before you go gasping and shout “DAWN, YOU TALK TO YOUR DOLLS?!”
IMHO, I must really emphasize some points and facts as a doll collector/owner/lover.
As a BJD owner, I got both girls because I’m emotionally attached to them when I saw their photos and biography on the net.
So that’s why I would never sell them off.
Actually I’m emotionally attached to all kinds of dolls, I’m so pathetic.
BUT I do not, and would never publicly carry them, because I fear for their safety. No matter how secured your dolls are in your arms or you like to see people glancing at your doll, accidents do happen.
I’m not targeting at anyone in particular.
There goes my stand and friends who are close to me know that I’ve very bad vibes towards doll owners carrying their dolls in public.
Ok ok, and for some reason, I can’t carry dolls, or babies.
I think it’s a phobia.
I sidetrack a little, didn’t I?
Also, I bet many doll owners out there do not shut themselves in the fantasy world.
Dollfies might be of a different culture, but we have sufficient social interaction to keep ourselves “human” and sane.
I still look for my family and friends for comfort and to rant. Not towards my dolls.
I’ve friends, I DO NOT shut myself in the room playing with dolls.
Coz it’s really difficult to do so. Yes, I do what the article states, “coo” and “caress” my dolls, since I’m emotionally attached to them.
Like, DUH.
Also X2, let me relate an incident…
Aunt would always nudged me when there’s a cute child walking past us.
“Just look like your doll!” or
“If she’s a doll, then very cute!”
I would nod my head but in my mind I do not register them as dolls.
Dolls may look like children, but when I’m looking at my dolls. I do not think they are impersonation of children.
Or rather, I’m not a pedophile.
Anyway, I’ve school(in the future), work and other hobbies like anime watching and photography(?) to juggle.
Where would I have the damn time to go hide in my room and talk to my dolls the whole day?
But it’s also through doll gatherings and events, do I get to meet a bigger bunch of doll collectors and lovers.
So there’s nothing bad about collecting dolls, except for the high expense needed.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Thanks for reading through so much.
It’s a rant you see.
