Mid-Autumn Festival 2007!

Haha, finally gonna talk about mooncakes, lanterns, fire(pei pei’s fav) and SPARKLERS!
Majority of the photos would be exposing the fun of sparklers, even if we are NOT those 10 years old out there…
Warning, your eyes might get a little tired…

As you know, we held the mid-autumn festival at Peiling’s condo. The tennis court at the rooftop proved to be a great place to relax and have fun!

Doreen’s numerous attempts to light up the matchsticks just for fun, and it was lovely to see them being lighted up. :D

Our lanterns, lovely, aren’t they? Doreen’s lantern has to be the cutest, with Chang Er on it.

Then it’s the time.
The time to light up the starless night…

My first few tries capturing the sparklers on my camera, not quite successful as you can see. Shutter speed was too long, causing the photos to be overexposed… But I like the first pic of Doreen, so lomo- like. And I realised that Pei Pei wasn’t the first to draw the heart shape, Doreen did. LOL.

And it was during this time when Peiling used the fireworks mode in her Canon camera then it dawned on me that the exposure rate has to be low. And all of us got really excited over that mode, really.

The BIG D!

Haha, Denise’s photos are very cute, it’s as though she’s twirling the sparklers effortlessly.

I shook the camera a little, unsteady hands…

And then it’s Pei Pei turn!

Pei Pei’s actions were so quick, she created sparks and I couldn’t see her hands. Nice hearts!

The first pic was total awesome, it’s like those mirror image kind of photo.

You can create spirals too!

You can draw BIG or small circles. That’s Peiling.

Was playing around with my sparklers, haha, it’s like a madhouse with smoke everywhere. Not that exaggerated though.

If I add 2 dots above it, it’s a (: Looks like lava.

I went a little crazy, the second photo looks like a light bulb. Haha!

I’ve seen people who used their DSLR on sparklers and theirs were picture perfect with no blurring and the person in it was very sharp and clear while the sparklers formed were fantastic. Pei Pei, major hint here…

We proceeded to the tennis court, have no idea why they wanted me to take these shots. But here it is.

Haha, I’ve done a little photoshop on my hair.

No idea. Absolutely no idea.

Pei Pei’s vegetarian mooncakes. I’ve not yet eaten the one I brought home, hehe.

Went down to walk round Peiling’s condo with our paper lanterns. Doreen burned hers and we were so ecstatic to see it burning. Like “Wow! Burn! Fire!” Have to give a big thanks to Peiling’s parents and relatives who were very nice to help us look after our belongings and provided us pomelons, mooncakes and tea!

That’s about it. Hope to have just as much fun next year! ^^
